This policy covers all goods owned by, or in which the University has an insurable interest, which are being moved outside of the University by a third party, i.e. courier, mail service, shipping company by road/rail/air/sea

Benefits: | The policy provides for the repair/replacement of the damaged/destroyed goods, subject to cargo clauses as applicable. |
Premium: |
The premium is based on the value of shipment. Please forward details of the goods to be shipped and a Business Unit and Project Grant for debiting of premium to insurance@uwa.edu.au prior to shipment.

Excesses/ Deductibles: | The policy is subject to an excess of $200 per claim payable by the School/Centre. |
Making a Claim: |
Contact insurance@uwa.edu.au or ext 7487 immediately the loss is discovered or notified, and request a Marine Transit Insurance Claim Form, which will be required to be completed in full and returned to the insurance office together with all documentation. An assessor may be appointed.
Do not accept delivery of goods that ae obviously damaged or if the packaging/container show signs of damage. Note this on the delivery docket and keep a copy.
